Ethical Principles for Publishers
- Decision (decide the fate of submitted manuscripts according to scientific and ethical parameters);
- Neutrality (evaluation based strictly on the intellectual content of the manuscripts (without any distinction regarding the authors);
- Confidentiality (non-disclosure of the manuscript beyond those involved in the editorial process);
- Non-evaluation (in cases involving conflicts of interest);
- Non-disclosure (of content not published without proper authorization from the author(s);
- Investigation (investigation in cases of ethical complaints about submitted or published manuscripts);
- Verification (checking for copyright infringement, plagiarism, legal requirements, and defamation);
- Guarantee (ensuring the maintenance of scientific knowledge from the decision to publish;
- Legality (verify/contact authors, in case of doubts about the legislation that governs the place where the research was carried out);
- Specificity (being specific in your critique, even if objective).
